“The Verselo brand means a lot to me. It all began after my youngest daughter broke our blinds at home for the third time by catching them on the window handle. I drew a slimline design on some scrap paper she handed me, and showed it to Pete at work the next day. He led a period of intensive research and development on a flush fitting, contemporary handle, which locks into its own base to create a stylish look.
Traditional window handles are one of the few designs that have not evolved over the years, despite the need to cater for the close-fitting blinds and shutters of today. Verselo aims to change that."

Two families & 180 years of history
Our humble beginnings in 1846 means that some of J Banks' manufactured products have been found in shipwrecks or, like our WWI protective vest, are now on display in museums.
Our catalogue has grown from one simple padlock to a vast range of architectural (and even packaging) products, spanning from patented restrictors to bifold door hardware.
Thanks to the experience gained from all these years in business, we remain as strong and family-run today as we did all those generations ago.

Based in the heart of the West Midlands, we boast a state-of-the-art facility for designing and manufacturing products entirely in-house.
Our best-kept secret is our white-label, bespoke products for well-known brands. (Sshh... you didn't hear that from us!)
We are well-established as one of the UK's leading manufacturers of door and window hardware solutions, thanks to our heavy investment in advanced automation and robotics.
