BLINDS VS SHUTTERS: Shut(ter) up, it's now 2024. You can't be blind to my superiority...
Part Two
Earlier in the week, we heard from Mr. Shutters. This is Ms. Blinds' response...
Blinds VS Shutters - Blinds' Perspective
Dear Mr. Shutters,
Whilst I admire your persistence, I am sorry to tell you that you should have stayed in the past. I won't deny you are good looking, but it comes at too high a price, I’m afraid.
With just a twist of a wand or pull of a cord, I easily adjust my slats to let in as much or as little light as I desire. This flexibility allows me to create the perfect ambiance for any time of day, something that shutters, with their fixed panels, simply cannot achieve.
I allow more natural light when people want it flooding in, but can now achieve black-out when required, thanks to modern low profile window handles, which allow me to fit unbelievably closer than ever before.
My versatile design and style allow me to effortlessly complement any décor, making for a more adaptable option compared to the rigid aesthetic of shutters. I, with my unassuming presence, outshine your stately frame. Your design, while classic, lacks the adaptability of mine.
Unlike you, I am cost-effective, offering excellent value for quality and functionality. For those on a budget, I am an affordable way to achieve both style and practicality without compromising on either.
Oh, dear Mr. Shutters, understand my claim: I have stood the test of time, because true comfort lies not in the spectacle of visibility but in the grace of subtle obscurity. I do not obscure; I enhance. I do not divide; I unite the interior with a tranquil exterior, harmonising the rhythms of life within.
For that reason, I will not be resigning any time soon.
Your Colleague and Friend,
Ms. Blinds
